Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust, Minority Arts Programme. Applicant overview: NFTC was established in 1985 by members of the Focus theatre and video training scheme. NFTC had two primary aims, 1) to participate in the organisation and development of a multi-racial base in the St. Peter's Centre, Hillfields, Coventry, offering access to a range of technical and creative facilities, and 2) to use theatre as an educational resource and stimulus in schools and the community, with a particular emphasis on the exploration of language learning and communication skills. Nature of support: In 1986 Minority Arts Programme Trustees recommended a grant of £500 to the NFTC. This was subsequently approved by the Trust. A further grant of £350 was made in 1987 to cover the cost of a projector. Minutes: B&GSCT 6379, B&GSCT 6662, MAP 11/86, MAP 25/86. Notes: File numbered 'EA/9/2(d)'. |
