Applicant overview: SMW was formed as a three-stage project to provide musical education to the Smethwick community, particularly to the unemployed, handicapped and young. Nature of support: In 1985 Minority Arts Programme Trustees recommended an initial grant of £190 to the SMW. This was followed by a further grant of £560 that same year.
