Applicant overview: The CBWPTG has its origins in the maximum-security wing of Durham Prison and later developed into a travelling theatre group focusing on the theme of women prison. Nature of support: In 1981 on the advice of Minority Arts Programme Trustees a grant of £200 was made to CBWPTG for productions at the Edinburgh Festival. That same year an additional grant of £250 was approved. In 1985 £250 was provided to the group to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
