Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust, Barrow Cadbury Fund Ltd., Paul S. Cadbury Trust, Minority Arts Programme. Applicant overview: ALWM became a registered charity in 1984. ALWM is a body which is partly funded by the Arts Council and local authorities to bring the arts in different ways, both performing and visual arts, to various people who may be particularly able to benefit. Art Link is active in numerous institutions in the West Midlands including many hospitals in the region, mostly helping the elderly, disabled, mentally ill and mentally handicapped people. The work is of a therapeutic nature but is always valuable at the least for its potential as a stimulus and enrichment to the lives of those who receive it. In 1985 £6,000 was approved for distribution over three years. A small Fund grant of £125 was also made for travel expenses. In 1989 the Paul S. Cadbury Trust approved three annual grants of £5,000 per annum. Minutes: B&GSCT 5942, B&GSCT 6176, BCF 2605, PSCT 752, MAP 55/83, MAP 33/84, MAP 44/85.
