/1 'A Policy for the British Motor Vehicle Industry' [April 1976]. This was a response by AUEW - TASS to the Government White Paper 'The British Motor Vehicle Industry' of January 1976.
/2 'Body Die Design - Motor Industry' [February 1977]. This was an open letter from Ken Gill, General Secretay of AUEW - TASS to all companies affiliated to the Federation of Engineering Design Companies [FEDC]. Gill asked for co-operation in a survey of current design capacity within the British motor industry.
/3 'Workers' plans and Labour Governments - Past and Future' [nd]. This copy of a paper by Audrey Wise [MP for Coventry South West 1974 - 79] also includes hand written notes [author not identified].
/4 'I don't believe in strikes' [nd]. This photocopied newspaper article is marked 'Who Said It?' and is identified as Terry Duffy talking to the British Institute of Management and Institute of Industrial Managers.
/5 'AUEW Engineering Section Journal' [1979 - 1980]. Three magazines [46/9, 47/1, 47/4] contain general information about British engineering including the motor industry, as well as union news.
/6 'A short History of the National Union of Vehicle Builders [NUVB] 1834 - 1959'. This booklet commemorated the 125th anniversary of the union, which merged with the T&GWU in 1972.
/7 'The Badge, Emblems and Banner of the NUVB 1834 - 1972'. This is an illustrated booklet. |
