| Description | The contents of this file are concerned with discimination in the employment market, against black people, women, people with disabilities and discrimination by age.
It contains a bundle of notes, consisting of newspaper cuttings and handwritten notes made from newspaper articles [1982 - 1983]. There is also an article by M. Thatcher entitled 'Wake up Women'. Taken from the Sunday Graphic of February 1952, this called for women to consider combining marriage, family and career.
A copy of Searchlight Number 94 [April 1983] is also included. This anti-fascist publication at this time incorporated CARF - the Campaign against Racism and Fascism. Amongst many articles identifying racism in contemporary Britain and across the world, was a piece about the 'Synagogue Arson Attack Gang' of 1965 [also featured in Searchlight June 1975]. |
