| Description | This show focuses on the people at the receiving end of global capitalism. It details how populations have been shifted over time, through the slave trade and through economic migration [often encouraged by the host governments].
'Wild Geese' explores both the history of migration and the search for employemt and security in the contemporary global economy and includes interviews with Irish, African / Caribbean and South Asian immigrant communities, Iranian refugees, African and Latin American refugee cleaners working in Canary Wharf and people connected with the Chinese cockle pickers who died in Morcambe Bay in 2004. These interviews are interwoven with archive film footage, animation and live music and song to create a powerful and hard-hitting statement about migration and exile in the Twenty First Century.
The production has toured within Britain and also to Canada.
