They comprise: copy of 1671 will of Thomas Foley which deals with property at Stoubridge, Dudley, Old Swynford, the manor of Peamore, lands in Warwickshire, lands in Halesowen, Leighford, Staffordshire, the manors of Oldington, Knightwicke, Burton, Mastley, Woodcutt, and part of the manor of Elmley in Worcestershire, the manors of Norton, Tedstone, Delamore and Gateley in Herefordshire, land at Sonehouse, Wibbenhall, Wildon and Hartlebury in Worcestershire, and lease of ironworks, wireworks, woods and coppices in Monmouth; copy of 1700 will of Thomas Foley which does not deal with real estate; copy of 1730 will of Richard Foley, including a codicil in which he leaves premises in Middlesex to his nephew; copy of 1731 will of Thomas Foley; copy of 1760 will of Thomas Foley; copy of book indorsed c1766-1770 containing a record of the annuities and legacies left by the will of Thomas Foley; printed copy of the 1777 will of Thomas Foley, which deals with the inheritance of the Witley estates and other manors and properties in Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Middlesex, Shropshire and Herefordshire. The bundle also includes a letter dated 7-8 Dec 1885 from A. J. Blount of Blount, Lynch and Petre, solicitors, London to [Hubert George] Howard Galton, Hadzor House, Droitwich which refers to the receipt of a parcel of deeds. This letter is attached to a list of deeds of the Foley family relating to the manor of Oddingley |
