DescriptionThese largely relate to mortgages taken out on Thomas Foley's estates but include several marginal annotations relating to the manor of Oddingley. They comprise: abstract of deeds forming the security to the several contributions to loan to Right Hon Thomas lord Foley and his trustees Right Hon William Philip earl of Sefton and John Drummond by way of mortgage; abstract of securities from lord Foley to William Sadler, and of subsequent transfers to John Coleman and John Napper 1810; abstract of declaration of trust 1817 as to monies to arise from Lord Foley's settled and unsettled estates; abstract of deeds executed by Right Hon Thomas lord Foley whereby his unsettled estates are vested in the Earl of Sefton and John Drummond as trustees 1817; abstract of the Recovery by Earl Manners and Hon Fulke Greville Howard of their mortgage security over the estates of Lord Foley and of the transfer by Sir Elias Harvey and other contributors of their security over the same estates to Andrew Mortimer Drummond and Charles Drummond; supplementary abstract of the title to Oddingley manor and estates belonging to John Howard Galton, referring to 1825 lease and release from Anthony Baldwin to Galton.
