DescriptionAssigned by Joseph Farmer, late of Liverpool but now Lieutenant in his Majesty's thirty first Regiment of Foot, commanded by James Adolphys Oughton to Samuel Galton of Birmingham, merchant as payment of a debt owed to him. The shares consist of: a sixteenth share in the 'Snow Farmer' which was fitted out and sailed from Liverpool to the coast of Africa in 1746, and a thirty second share in the same ship purchased from his brother James Farmer; an eighth share in the debts and effects due to the owners of the 'Kingston Gally' bound from Liverpool to Jamaica in 1746.
