DescriptionFred Jordan was born in Ludlow, Shropshire on 16 October 1922. At the age of 14 he went to work on a local farm with the horses. He was first recorded in 1952 by Peter Kennedy at Diddlebury, and with the Folk Revival he began to sing at clubs all over the country and appeared at most of the major Folk Festivals. He died on 30 July 2002. Here, he talks about his life and farm work. Bert Edwards was also recorded by Peter Kennedy in 1952, at Little Stretton, Shropshire.
