The clippings assembled on this reel are generally about finding accomodation ('digs') in cities such as London and Manchester, and the difficulties and prejudices they encountered trying to find somewhere to stay, and descriptions of the conditions in the digs. The clips also include discussion on finding and socialising with other Irish people who also emigrated. The last section of clips are about employment conditions in Ireland (1960s).
