The programmes were part of a series on 'Good and Evil'. The three programmes were 'Songs of the Frontier', about borders; 'Flash Lads and Hard Cases', about heroes; and 'The Fire in the Middle' about love. 'Songs of the Frontier' was broadcast on 27 April 1966, 'Flash Lads & Hard Cases' was broadcast on 4 May 1966 and 'The Fire in the Middle' was broadcast on 11 May 1966.
Performers were: A. L. Lloyd, Peggy Seeger, Ewan MacColl, Frankie Armstrong, Gordeanna McCulloch, Sarah Makem, Paul Lennihan, Tom Parley, and Bobby Campbell on fiddle. |
