They talk to Philip Donnellan about the job training people in factory jobs that have been found for them, and assisting them with mobility and orientation, and describe the induction process. They discuss the medical and administrative process of assessing people who have been registered blind, the function of home teachers and industrial rehabilitation centres at Torquay and in Scotland, and the different degrees of visual impairment. They talk about their methods of training people for factory jobs using touch methods, modifications made to machines and tools for use by people with visual impairments, and the age range and employment backgrounds of the people they train. They describe their efforts to match people's capabilities and interests with jobs that offer repetition and volume of work (tracks 11-17).
