DescriptionInterview with unidentified teachers at various schools for the blind. They discuss the use of diagrams, graphs and maps in the teaching of maths and science to blind children, whether they can interpret graphical information in a meaningful way, possible experiments to test understanding and the time constraints within the examination system and curriculum which prevent the development of different approaches to teaching. They debate the use of models of household and other everyday objects, and the establishment of a museum for blind primary schools to use to allow children to gain a physical understanding of things that are not readily accessible to them. They discuss the need for a central workshop to construct three dimensional models for teaching, blind children's difficulties in gaining an understanding of everyday objects like milk bottles, saucepans, alarm clocks and taps, demonstrate the use and manufacture of frames to teach braille, and discuss the problems of procuring stopwatches for blind children to use (tracks 1-9).
