She talks about her husband, who is registered blind, and the adjustments she has made to her attitudes, the preconceptions that other sighted people have about the abilities her husband has, the reactions that she and her husband have to sighted people's attempts to help. She talks about how she met her husband, his previous marriage, his time at a centre in Torquay, her first impressions of his character and their courtship. She discusses the extent to which their relationship and marriage was affected by her husband's blindness, and how her family reacted.
