He discusses his family life, his daughter's loss of sight, her development of an understanding of the world around her and her sense of her normality. He talks about the differences between things remembered by touch and by hearing, concentration on concepts and the kind of memory he has developed, his research into how well he remembers information conveyed through different media, including tape recordings, the fixing of oral patterns on the mind and the interpretation of personality and emotions through the voice. He discusses his efforts to concentrate on listening to voices and movements to understand people's personalities, the different personalities of people who are willing to assist blind people and the need to improve the education and training system for blind children (tracks 1-4).
