It was compiled and narrated by Godfrey Hodgson and produced by Charles Parker. The programme was compiled from existing American newscasts and documentaries, news documentary programmes, largely from Pacifica Radio, California, as well as recordings of extracts from Jackson's letters, interviews with him and with the other 'Soledad Brothers' Fleeta Drumgo and John Cluchette, and with their families and lawyers, and with the prison authorities.
