The programme concerns inner-city school provisions and experiences of immigrant non-white communities in the 1970s. People interviewed included African Caribbean, white English and Indian parents and children in Birmingham. Topics covered include: migration to Britain, racism in schools, comparison between the Indian and Caribbean education systems and the British system, differing levels of achievement between the racial groups, the need for teaching of black and Asian history in schools.
