| Description | Elizabeth thanks her parents for sending her a letter which included some extracts from English newspapers. She describes a late night supper which she had enjoyed with her friends in their bedroom at the school. Elizabeth remarks that if she was to attend an English school once she had completed her education in Germany then she would prefer to go to school with her younger sister Janet. Elizabeth complains about her expenses and asks her parents to send her a copy of a book called 'Little Will' for one of her schoolfriends. She concludes her letter by asking after her old dog Oliver Twist. |
