DescriptionMary Taylor begins this letter writing that she would be unable to send Margaret and Elizabeth more money for clothing. She remarks on news she had received in their recent letters and a note which had been sent to her by Miss Trinks. Mary Taylor writes that the girls' father John Taylor had recently been very busy holding temperance meetings with sailors in Portsmouth. She provides a long account of recent family visits and activities and writes that she and John Taylor intended to send their daughters some books and 'a large number of Sunday Magazines'. Mary Taylor concludes with remarks about the forthcoming wedding of her sister Caroline Cash, the girls' aunt Carrie to George Barrow of Birmingham.
