DescriptionMary Taylor thanks Elizabeth for her recent letters in which Elizabeth had expressed her gratitude for the Christmas parcel which the family had sent to her in Germany. She remarks on the school certificate and letter which the Taylors had recently received from the school's principal Miss Trinks writing 'all accounts tell of real improvement in all respects'. Mary Taylor adds 'I agree with Miss Trinks that thou does not speak even English clearly & distinctly & how then can thou do so in German'. She also refers to a letter which her husband John Taylor was writing to Elizabeth which included 'excellent advice'. The letter concludes with news of Elizabeth's siblings.
