She also provides an account of Elizabeth's aunt Ann (Annie) Cash who was slowly recovering from illness. Elizabeth Cash comments on Elizabeth's cousin Mabel Goodall Cash and criticises her parents, Frederick and Martha Goodall Cash, for not encouraging their daughter to study. The letter also includes remarks about family friends and social visits as well as numerous comments about Elizabeth's younger sister Josephine and the death of her sister Isabel Taylor. Elizabeth Cash concludes her letter by referring to newspaper announcements about the weddings of social acquaintances.
