DescriptionIn this letter Mary Jane Taylor apologises for having been 'shabby' about sending letters to Elizabeth remarking that she was busy looking after the family's new baby, Annie Frances, and undertaking 'house cleaning'. She writes about visits by family to Sunbury and the return of Elizabeth's brother John Howard who had been visiting Middlesbrough, Redcar and Saltburn. Mary Taylor also provides a detailed account of the ill health of Elizabeth's grandmother, Elizabeth Taylor. Mary Taylor concludes her letter with remarks about visits by family and social acquaintances and comments on the education of Elizabeth's sisters Margaret and Janet Taylor.
