| Description | Part of the work of the Friends' Service Council in India had been the establishment of a Friends' School at Sohagpur. Early in 1936 Lady Edna Gowan, the President of the Central College for Women in Nagpur, wrote to the school at Sohagpur about the possibility of sending one of their students to study at the College if a suitable scholarship was provided. In this letter M. Finch agrees with the arrangement, suggesting to Lady Gowan that if she was able to secure financial support whilst visiting England that the school would be happy to make use of the scholarship. |
