| Description | William Tandy wrote again to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury enclosing two photographs of the travelling dispensary which she donated to the Friends' Hospital in Itarsi. He remarks that the dispensary had proved 'very useful, and extremely popular', allowing him to see between three and four hundred patients on each visit. He writes that the dispensary had made a 'great difference' to the lives of ordinary Indian villagers, particularly during the malaria season. As well as the photographs, Tandy also enclosed an English translation of a Hindi newsletter written by two of the Indian nurses from the Friends' Hospital and remarks on the recent birth of his daughter Mary. |
