| Description | This leather bound diary covers the years 1931-1935 featuring a page for each day of the year with room for entries over a period of five years for each date. The front cover of the diary is embossed with an illustration of figures wearing historical costume riding horses in a countryside scene. The inside cover of the diary features the words 'E.M. Cadbury, Manor House, Northfield, Birmingham'. Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury has added the day of the week to the date for entries throughout this diary which vary in length and detail. Pieces of card featuring revised entries have been glued over original entries for 25th July 1933 and 1934. A small piece of paper featuring very brief details about a death and memorial service in August 1935 is enclosed loose at the back of the diary. |
