DescriptionIn this short letter Mary Taylor advises her daughter to return home on the forthcoming Saturday and not to stay away another Sunday owing to her responsibilities as a teacher at the Peckham Friends' First-Day School. She comments 'how urgent are the teachers to have thee back to the First day school'. Mary Taylor writes that the school was short staffed, adding 'tho a teacher has tried to keep thy boys together yet some of them will not attend, come in and take a peep to see if thou art there & finding thou art absent sneak out again'. Mary Taylor concludes her letter with comments about a visit to the New Forest and brief remarks about recent family activities.
