DescriptionMary Taylor wrote this letter to Elizabeth Taylor following her daughter's return home to England after volunteering at a medical mission in Belleville, Paris. Elizabeth was looking after her younger siblings whilst her mother was staying with the family of Elizabeth's school friend Edith Graham. Mary Taylor thanks her daughter for sending her the family budget and comments that Elizabeth's sister Annie would need a new dress. She also comments on her visit to the Grahams, remarking on a walk over the cliffs to Shanklin and a tennis party during which the family had discussed temperance. Mary Taylor also comments briefly on a visit to the beach and remarks on meeting a lady called Mrs. Peacock who she describes as 'a whimsical specimen'.
