DescriptionThis section contains a letter and envelope sent to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury by Rufus Jones following the death of his son Lowell which occurred whilst Jones was attending the Quaker Summer School held to mark the opening of Woodbrooke between July and August 1903. Scott suggests that Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury provided support to Rufus Jones during the period immediately following the bereavement. In his letter Jones provides a poignant account of his son's death and thanks Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury for her kindness and sympathy. The envelope in which Jones's letter was originally contained also features in this section.
