AdminHistoryGeorge and Elizabeth Cadbury and their young family often took holidays in Malvern, staying at a farm during Easter each year. In 1897 they purchased a house on the Malvern Hills with George Cadbury's brother Richard Cadbury and his family. This house, located in Colwall, was known as Wynds Point (or Winds Point) and had previously been the home of the Swedish singer Jenny Lind, 'the Swedish Nightingale'. Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury and her children enjoyed staying at Wynds Point throughout their lives. The theatre director Sir Barry Jackson owned a property nearby and developed a close relationship with Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury during her visit to the Malvern Hills.
