| Description | This note written by Dame Henrietta Barnett refers to a vase by William de Morgan which she bequeathed to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury in her will. It is possible that this is the note which Marion Paterson refers to in her letter to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury dated 22nd June 1924.
The note includes extracts from a magazine called 'The Queen' printed in 1931 which featured a picture of Henrietta Barnett's drawing room and the vase alongside comments by Henrietta Barnett about Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury. In the magazine article Barnett remarked on Tayloe Cadbury's readiness to welcome people into her home and to treat them as her equal. Some lines were added to the letter by Dame Barnett in 1932 which refer to the death of George Cadbury. |
