DescriptionElizabeth Taylor Cadbury visited Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) a number of times during her life, visiting her for the first time in 1904. This letter from Florence Nightingale's niece Barbara More Nightingale refers to Taylor Cadbury's first visit to Florence Nightingale at her home in South Street, London.

Barbara More Nightingale writes that her aunt had asked her to thank Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury for her visit, noting what an 'interest & pleasure' it had been for her. The women had spoken about Bournville village which Florence Nightingale had evidently been greatly interested in, Barbara More Nightingale remarking how 'bright and animated' her aunt had been following Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's visit. Barbara More Nightingale notes that her aunt had expressed a wish that Taylor Cadbury would visit her again when she was in London.
