Wrigley describes Taylor Cadbury's birthday as 'a day of rich spiritual blessing and renewal', expressing the Council's wish that she would live for many years yet 'to inspire us by your presence to guide us by your counsel.'

AdminHistoryIn 1925 Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury was invited to become the first female President of the Federal Council of the Free Churches. Taylor Cadbury's husband George Cadbury had been largely responsible for the foundation of the National Free Church Council which aimed towards a closer alliance between different Nonconformist churches in the early 1890s. George Cadbury maintained a close interest in the Council, contributing to its work up until his death in 1922. Following the period of her presidency, Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury continued to be actively involved with the Council's work throughout her life.
