| Description | Mounted printed copy of a paper written and delivered by Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury at the jubilee celebration of the removal of the Cadbury Works from Bridge Street in Birmingham to Bournville in 1879. Taylor Cadbury's paper, entitled 'George Cadbury', celebrated her husband's involvement in the development of Bournville during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The paper also includes extracts of correspondence and speeches relating to George Cadbury's election to Birmingham Town Council six months before the move to Bournville and extracts from documents relating to the Cadbury Works during the period of the move. In the final section of her paper Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury describes how she met George Cadbury. The paper concludes with William Wordsworth's poem 'The Happy Warrior'. |
