It aims to develop the capacity and skills of members of socially or economically disadvantaged communities in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society through local action projects, development of best practice, research and policy evaluation, making grants and loans, consultancy and training programmes, conferences and seminars and information and publication. Nature of support: In 1976 the Trust approved a grant of £1,553 towards a booklet on existing school leaver employment schemes can be produced.
