The Birmingham Job Change Project (BJCP) applied for support to create a similar scheme in Sutton Coldfield. The project would entail one full-time worker liaising with the unemployed and other organisations to provide advice on job-searching techniques, welfare benefits, training opportunities and practical help and guidance on self-employment, career planning etc. Nature of support: In 1987 the Trust made a grant of £5,000 to augment that provided by the SCMC.
