CLES promotes and implements new progressive economic activities, which create positive environmental, health and social outcomes. In all its work the relationship between place, economy and people is central. Established in 1986, CLES undertakes a range of activities including policy research, policy advice, consultancy, production of publications, training, events, information and briefing service. CLES works with the commercial, social, and public sector as well local and national governments, across the UK and beyond. Nature of support: In 1987 the Trust provided two annual grants of £5,000 to the CLES Homes and Jobs Campaign. A further grant of £5,000 was made in 1989.
