Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: The BCU was established by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) Northern Ireland Committee in 1985. The fundamental role of the BCU is to create a positive link between the unemployed/unwaged and the employed. The Centre is a campaigning organisation and an extension of the traditional role of trade unions. The Centre acts as an interface between the trade union and voluntary sectors facilitating a reciprocal exchange of information and dialogue. Nature of support: In 1986 the Paul S.
