Applicant overview: CCDP is a community based organisation representing community groups in the cross border region of North Leitrim, West Fermanagh and West Cavan. It was initiated by the Rural Action Project in West Fermanagh and the Integrated Rural Development Programme in North Leitrim. The organisation aims to, 1) develop strong, active and confident communities in the region, 2) increase choices and opportunities for people socially and economically, 3) contribute to the revitalization of the region, 4) promote regional identity, and 5) promote an integrated approach to rural development and to influence government policies in recognising the need for this approach. Nature of support: In 1991 the Paul S. Cadbury Trust made a single grant of £5,000 to the CCDP to allow it to establish an office base.
