Applicant overview: The aim of the EBC is to provide a safe environment, support, information and stimulation to young adults with mental health problems. Often members of the group are faced with difficulties in accessing education, training and employment. In challenging this, there is a strong emphasis on personal and social development, in particular raising self-awareness and self-esteem. It is hoped that with the correct investment, members of the group are adequately equipped to live more independently. In 1994 the EBC approached the Trust to develop its yard and garden area.
