Applicant overview: The Association was formed in 1994 in response to the increasing numbers of detention places under Immigration and Asylum legislation. The Association covers fourteen separate groups visiting the main centres of detention. Through advice, training and information giving provided on a voluntary basis the Association has nurtured these constituent groups in their formative years.
