These areas are characterised by extreme social and economic disadvantages where the majority of people are on low income or Government Benefits. WEFP was established by local people to provide basic services to the community including a crèche, launderette and a reception centre. WEFP also offers training courses to improve the job prospects of local inhabitants. WEFP is a registered charity. Nature of support: In 1999 on the advice of Community Organising Programme Relevant Trustees approved a grant of £4,000 for 1998/1999 and £10,000 for 1999/2000 and 2000/2001.
