| Description | Grant file containing correspondence, minutes, agendas, grant overviews, project proposal and funding request relating to the Kinder Archive Project (KAP) Ltd. Funding source(s): Barrow Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: KAP was established in 1999 as a charitable company limited by guarantee and was later registered as a charity in 2001. KAP primary objects are to advance education, particularly, but not exclusively, by the funding of scholarship at the German Jewish Institute at Sussex University and the Weiner Library, into the study of racism, anti-Semitism and the Holocaust. Money raised by the sale of documentary films made by Golden Reed Productions (GRP) Ltd. goes to the charity and in turn, the charity makes donations to GPR to make educational documentaries about the Holocaust. In 1999 KAP approached the Trust for support in making an oral history documentary to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the Kindertransport. Nature of support: In 1999 the Trust approved a single grant of £10,000 to the documentary. This payment was made through World Jewish Relief (WJR). A further £15,000 grant was agreed in 2000 towards editing and marketing expenses. Minutes: BCT 755, BCT 792, BCT 839. Notes: File organised roughly from newest to oldest. File not numbered. |
