Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: For many years the Friends Service Council had considered the need to improve the Friends Centre in Geneva. Interest by the Trust in this project led to a scheme to build a new centre to house the conferences and seminars office as well as the Quaker International Affairs Representative. Nature of support: The Trust provided a £40,000 interest free loan to purchase property in Geneva for the Friends International Centre. Subsequent support was provided to ameliorate currency exchange difficulties. Grants were also made to support international conferences held in Geneva at the Centre.
