The Oxford Research Group (ORG) Public Participation to Affect Nuclear Weapons Decision-making is a project aimed to open the decision making process on nuclear weapons policy to public understanding. Dunamis was created by Neil Wates and works in the field of conflict resolution and peace. It interacts with high-level church working parties, residential gatherings and small workshops on peace matters. Nature of support: The Cadbury Trusts rejected grant applications for funding by most applicants in this file. The Trade Union International Research and Education Group was turned down due to the lack of funds. Pugwash, a scientist led peace group was turned down as its success suggested it could find sources elsewhere. Support for the Disarmament Campaign Magazine was turned down as no specimen of the periodical was provided for consideration. An application to support the recording of the oratorio 'Or Shall We Die' was turned down for being beyond the terms of reference of the Trust. A number of other unsuccessful grants are also included. Dunamis received a three-year grant of £1,000 per annum to support the cost of working suppers for small groups to meet with prominent lecturers. The ORG received a £2,400 grant towards its research into public information on nuclear issues.
