Applicant overview: APGOD was established in 1984 as a forum for parliamentarians to engage in debates around how best to promote the economic and social development of poor and vulnerable countries. The Group's work includes a concentration on international debt and the role of Bretton Woods institutions in the development of poverty alleviation. Nature of support: In 1987 the Trust agreed to a single grant of £17,342 towards APGOD administrative staff costs. The deputy director of APGOD is also a leader at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI). In 1992 this support was continued for three years, the duration of the then current parliament.
