Applicant overview: TWP was established in 1972 as a non-profit commercial venture with the aim of finding the best and most effective materials on and about the Third World and to make them available to the greatest number of people possible. Nature of support: In 1979 the Fund approved a grant of £1,000 to appoint a member of staff with an expertise in marketing. This was subsequently revised to fund a market survey. In 1980 the Trust paid an additional £300 towards the actual costs of the survey. In 1982 the Trust made a grant of £680 for a direct mailing brochure.
