Applicant overview: In 1990 the LUMS proposed the creation of a two-year part-time alternative masters programme in management. Modules include Business in the Environmental and Economic Context, Ethics and Values, The Concept of the Market, Information and Control Systems, Organisation Work Culture and the Individual and Management Creativity, Design and Purpose. This programme takes a radical new approach to business management. The programme later became a three-year M.Phil course in Critical Management. Nature of support: In 1990 the Trust agreed to offer a grant of £11,000 per annum for three years to help develop the school programme. In 1991 a grant of £15,000 per annum for three years was approved to launch the 'Reflective Space Events' and £25,000 per annum for three years towards the master programme plus a single grant of £2,500 for the purchase of computer equipment.
