Applicant overview: The Mid-Armagh Community Network is based in Markethill, County Armagh and aims to, 1) redress the imbalance of weak community infrastructure, low confidence and low levels of participation in community within the Protestant Community, 2) build on the training work that already has taken place and the subsequent formation of community groups based in Orange Lodges across Amagh, 3) facilitate the sharing of success stories, models of good practice, events, ideas and training opportunities on an ongoing basis, and 4) interact with other agencies including Rural Community Network and their sub-regional community networks, and statutory partners. Nature of support: In 2006 the Trust approved a grant of £3,000 to the Network to cover the costs of networking events and a contribution towards the production of six newsletters per year.
