Applicant overview: The Re-Connect Project aims to harness the unifying global force of football to establish connections between the Bangladeshi community in the UK and the population of Bangladesh. Specifically, the project seeks to take a group of socially excluded Bangladeshi young people from Birmingham to Bangladesh, accompanied by a group of older role models from the Bangladeshi and non-Bangladeshi communities with the core drawn from the Shapla (football) League.
